It is denatured anhydrous alcohol with gasoline addition of 2% v/v. This product was developed from the initiative of the National Government through Law 693 of 2001, where the use of oxygenated gasoline was decreed (mixture of 10% alcohol fuel and 90% gasoline), in cities with over 500,000 inhabitants . The use of alcohol fuel is considered necessary and beneficial for the environment, since it improves combustion in internal combustion engines and reduces harmful greenhouse gas emissions because it is produced from biomass by means of clean technologies limpias.

The sugar cane ethanol reduces by 74% the emissions of greenhouse gases.

Uses: gasoline oxygenation program in Colombia.
