Quality System

This was the first Management System implemented at the Company, and due to its characteristics, it has become the foundation for management assurance, promoting documentation, internal audits, action-taking, and a process-focused approach.

Initially, the scope of the System covered only quality aspects, with the exclusive purpose of ensuring customer satisfaction and, where possible, exceeding their expectations. However, in 2014, this purpose was expanded to include safety for processes related to food product manufacturing.

Occupational Health and Safety System

The primary objective is to ensure the safety and health of individuals associated with the Company and all those who may be affected by its activities, based on controlling the risks to which they are exposed.

Occupational Health and Safety Policy

Ingenio Providencia S.A. is committed to designing and implementing the Occupational Health and Safety Management System to protect all workers, regardless of their affiliation, including contractors, subcontractors, and visitors. To achieve this, the following objectives are established:

• Identify agricultural, industrial, and transportation hazards, assess them, and establish controls.
• Comply with legal requirements, especially the health emergency decree 417, along with other relevant regulations.
• Develop activities that promote health, healthy lifestyles, and safe work practices.
• Prevent workplace harassment and foster positive work environments.
• Prevent injuries, illnesses, and potential COVID-19 infections.
• Protect the health and safety of all workers through continuous improvement in the management and performance of Occupational Health and Safety.

Our Policy reflects that the commitment of top management will be fulfilled by all interested parties. It is reviewed annually to ensure its compliance and relevance and is communicated to all stakeholders, including the Joint Committee on Occupational Health and Safety (COPASST).

Management and supervisory personnel are responsible for supporting the achievement of System objectives and strengthening the safety culture in their processes, maintaining a safe work environment. All workers are responsible for demonstrating safe behaviors and reporting potential risks.

At the Alcohol Plant’s Physicochemical Laboratory of Ingenio Providencia, we hold ONAC accreditation, currently valid, with accreditation code 15-LAB-003, under the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.

CERTIFICATES FOR DEMONSTRATING COMPLIANCE

Resolution 789 of 2016 from the Ministries of Environment and Sustainable Development and Mines and Energy states that denatured anhydrous ethanol fuel must have a certificate of conformity, issued by a certification body accredited by ONAC and comply with one of the certification schemes established under the ISO/IEC 17067 standard.

The Alcohol Plant’s Physicochemical Laboratory (LAPA) informs its clients that the document “PROCESS FOR RECEIVING AND HANDLING CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS FOR LAPA” (code 8-PR-18-080) is available in Igestiona and at the Laboratory facilities for your convenience. Organic:

This certification ensures that the certified product has been produced under organic and sustainable production schemes, complying with the Organic Production Standard applicable to the product’s destination market. In our case, we hold certification for the national market granted by Biotropico, and certifications applicable to the markets of the United States, European Union, Japan, Korea, Canada, and Sweden, granted by Control Union.

Kosher:

This certification ensures that food products comply with and are produced in accordance with Jewish dietary laws. Certification is granted by the Orthodox Union (OU).
